Hey I'm Jake, I make rpg supplements and videos about Pathfinder2 or Pfftoo.
I LOVE PFtoo and as a long-time player of DnD, I want to share the things that I find along the way and share them with you in a way that makes them easy to digest and hopefully... FUN!

I have for you today Glitter and Bleh (Pathbuilder Link) – an Anadi Witch and his frog familiar, built with teamwork in mind for a one-shot put on by TeamPlayerGaming.
The purpose of this character is to work well with a group but it’s design could be modified by removing the level 5 Ancestry Feat and the level 2 Skill Feat. Also, I’m using the pre-Divine Mysteries remaster for the Mosquito Witch, following the Pathfinder Society Guidelines from Archives of Nethys for using this patron with the Familiar from the Resentment. Also, the focus for this character will be Recall Knowledge (which was lacking in the group) and a little bit of crafting to repair a shield that our “Tank” will be using and which will be getting damaged frequently. Oh also – we’re using Free Archetype and no other variant rules.

BACKGROUND
Bookish Providence! Yeah it’s Rare. Yeah it’s weird. BUT… it helps with Recall Knowledge. It’s from Stolen Fate, which I’m currently running on my Livestream every Friday. Anyway it gives you the Multilingual Skill Feat which gives you two languages, it makes you trained in the Academia Lore skill which is mostly just useful for rummaging through a library from what I’ve seen – AND it gives you the Recall Under Pressure free action. Once per day if you roll a Recall Knowledge in combat, you can roll Academia Lore (which at least lowers the DC by 2, 5 if the GM wants it to). If the info is helpful within the next turn, you get either a +1 or +2 to saves for the rest of the encounter (the bonus is a 1 in 6 chance to be +2).
ANCESTRY, HERITAGE
Ancestry: ANADI! Because I love spiders in real life and these guys are COLORFUL and CUTE and FRIENDLY! For those of you who don’t know, Anadi are a species of intelligent, magically-inclined medium-sized spiders who can’t friggin’ climb for some reason… who learned how to shapeshift into a humanoid form via arcane magic in order to get along better with other people. They were disturbing to people so they changed themselves to get along. It’s pretty cool. Heritage: Adaptive Anadi – lets you choose your bipedal form’s Ancestry and gives you the Adopted Ancestry General feat for that ancestry, which allows you to choose feats from that Ancestry as well. I chose Human. Because humans let you take extra Class Feats, General Feats, skill feats, or even Archetype Feats later on. They’re just useful for picking up little things you need along the way.
1st level Ancestry Feat
Reassuring Presence. The main “helpful” feat that I wanted to take. If an ally within 30 feet gains the frightened condition, you use a reaction to decrease their Frightened condition by 1. Then that ally is immune to Reassuring Presence for an hour.
FIRST CLASS LEVEL
Witch. Mosquito Witch Patron. Gives you access to the Primal Spell List and training in the Nature Skill. You get Pest Form which is fun for subterfuge and scouting and you also get the Buzzing Bites hex cantrip which does piercing damage and can sicken the target, can be sustained up to 1 minute. And normally the Familiar for Mosquito Witch gives concealment to someone they’re sharing a square with if they’re you or an ally of yours. BUT using the pre-Divine Mysteries recommendation from Pathfinder Society play, we’re using the Resentment’s Familiar of Ongoing Misery. Because it’s better and more fun. When you cast or sustain a hex, your familiar can curse a creature within 15 feet of it, prolonging the duration of any negative conditions affecting it by 1 round. That’s ALL negative conditions that have a duration. Which technically includes Grabbed and Restrained.
LEVEL BY LEVEL BREAKDOWN
2nd level Class Feat
Basic Lesson: Lesson of Life. Gives you Spirit Link spell and the Life Boost hex. Life Boost gives a target fast healing 2 per level of the focus spell for 4 rounds. So at 5th level, this character gives someone fast healing 6 for 4 rounds, 24 hp. I took it at the request of another player because it’s good off-healing; this character is NOT the primary healer.
2nd level Free Archetype feat
We’re taking the Alchemist Dedication. For a couple of reasons; you get Quick Alchemy for unlimited acid bombs and the use of 4 versatile vials per day to make whatever the party may need on the fly and we’ll have a very extensive formula list by the end of this, which I’ll have in the Pathbuilder link below. Total of 30 Formulas. Alchemy is a HUGE boon in terms of teamwork. You have access to SO many things: remove stupefied with Bottled Catharsis, Cinnamon Seers to help with Recall Knowledge, Healing options like Elixir of Life, Numbing Tonic, Soothing Tonic, Vaccine, Contagion Stabilizer, and Searing Suture. Utility like Sea Touch Elixir and Sixfingers Elixir for swimming and climbing respectively… there’s just a lot of options.
2nd level skill feat
We’ll take Quick Repair. This is almost strictly for repairing the Sturdy shield that our tank will be using. That player (SwingRipper) didn’t have any extra skill feats so I said I would take it. Eh, it does help with any other repairs that need to happen swiftly, it just probably won’t come up for much else in a one-shot. Maybe if we get to do another one with these characters later.
3rd level
General Feat Ancestral Paragon for Human Feat for Natural Ambition which we will use to take Cauldron. Which ALSO gives us POTIONS that we can make! 1 temporary one for free every day. We’ll take Wine of The Blood for healing with removing emotion effects, Invisibility Potion, Healing Potion, Potion of Emergency Escape, and Green Wyrmling Breath Potion. And THAT Breath Potion will be for our little frog familiar to drink so that he can vomit poison gas over our enemies. And that’s why his name is “Bleh”.
4th level Class Feat!
Cackle. Really it’s just for a Focus Point. If possible I would have taken another Basic Lesson but this is not my game. So I just took Cackle to do more with my Focus points and I may use it to extend a hex at some point if need be. It’s just an option.
4th level Archetype Feat
Advanced Alchemy, which allows you to create 4 alchemical items at the beginning of every day.
4th level Skill Feat
Kreighton’s Cognitive Crossover for better Recall Knowledge rolls. It allows you to choose 2 Recall Knowledge skills to link. If you fail at one of them, you can roll the skill over again using the bonus of the second skill.
5th level Ancestry Feat
We’ll take Web Weaver which gives us Specialty Crafting in Weaving AND the ability to make threaded stuff quickly. This is just more flexibility for the group, to be able to carry extra things that you made without having to spend money on them or to be able to make things that are threaded in an hour if we need it.
FINAL THOUGHTS AND IDEAS
Spell Selection, Alchemical Breakdown, gear and spells for the build are all on Pathbuilder. I meticulously tracked everything so all the gear is correct. 50 gold was spent on only formulas for Alchemy.
Character Quotes: "Uh hi guys my name is Glitter. It’s because I’m shiny. See my back? There’s a lot of dried slurry on it from my Alchemical creations. Or maybe from my potions. I’m not sure. It just happens." "Hey can I help you with that? I have webbing. I have lots of webbing if you want it. Or if you’re on fire I can put you out. See? Have some water. (Rousing Splash)"
"I like bugs. Do you like bugs? They’re so fascinating. I’m cataloging the morphological differences in arthropods, specifically dragonflies right now. Would you like to see my collection? Here it is."
